KaizenCV

How KaizenCV works, and why it never makes things up.

KaizenCV is an AI résumé builder and career coach. Before it writes, the coach asks about your real work, and any detail it cannot verify stays a [placeholder] instead of an invented number. Every edit arrives as a change card you approve, and the ATS score shows exactly which checks each change moves.

What happens when you ask it to improve a line?

It reads the line first. Paste one from your CV: the phrases a recruiter skims past are marked, and each becomes the question the coach asks before it rewrites anything. A general chatbot skips the questions and fills the gaps itself.

Or try

Worked with customers to solve issues and helped the team with various tasks.

What the coach would ask

3 questions before any rewrite

  1. 1A duty, not what you didWhat did you do yourself: lead it, build it, fix it, train people?
  2. 2Too vague to pictureWhich ones? Name the one that mattered most.
  3. 3No number yetHow many customers a day, and how many did you solve on the first contact?

A chatbot would rewrite it right away and guess 3 answers.

Who wrote the rules the coach follows?

Career coaches. Their rules decide what the coach asks, what it will never invent and how every section of a résumé should read.

  • Never invent a fact

Employers, titles, dates and numbers come from your documents or your answers. Anything missing stays a [placeholder] until you fill it in.

  • Ask before writing

When a bullet has no result, the coach asks what came of the work, and offers answers you can tap.

  • Lead with the result

Achievement bullets open with a strong verb and carry one real number where your source has one.

  • Meet people where they are

A graduate's impact is scope and learning, not revenue, so the coach never demands numbers a first résumé can't have.

And what the product adds around them

  • Every suggestion is checked first

Before a change card reaches you, a gate drops any suggestion that invents a number, leaves placeholder text in, quotes a line your document no longer has, or rewrites far more than it should.

  • It knows your field

16 profession packs describe how work is measured in each field. A nurse is asked about patients per shift and ward size, an electrician about certifications and site size.

  • It writes like you

Your sentence length, tone and use of “I” are measured from text you wrote, and rewrites hold to them. Words like “spearheaded” and “synergy” are banned from every rewrite.

  • It remembers what you told it

Results you mention in the coach are kept, so a real number you gave once is used again instead of being asked for twice.

How is the ATS score calculated?

As a sum you can check by hand. Each finding is a row with its points, fixes are scored before they apply, and a fix that would lower your score is refused. 80 is the line where a document is ready to send.

  1. Every point has a reason you can read.
  2. Each fix shows what it's worth before you accept it.
  3. If a change would lower your score, it isn't made.

Fair questions.

The rules the coach follows were written by career coaches: what to ask, what never to invent, how each section of a résumé should read, and what an applicant tracking system needs. The language model underneath is a general one. The coaching rules, your documents and your own answers are what make it behave like a coach.

It is built not to. The coach asks for a number instead of guessing one, a missing detail stays a visible [placeholder], and a check drops any suggestion that contains a number your documents and answers don't support. You also approve every change before it touches your résumé.

Yes. The score is a sum of visible checks, so the same document gets the same score. Every finding shows how many points it is worth, fixes are scored before they apply, and a fix that would lower the score is refused. 80 is the line where a document counts as ready to send.

You can write or translate a résumé in 44 languages, and the coach replies in your language. The app itself is in English and Danish, and the writing-style checks in the ATS score cover English, Danish, German, Spanish and French.

Your documents are stored encrypted and never sold, and you can delete everything at any time. Coach chats you try without an account are not saved, and text you paste into the free tools is deleted after 24 hours.
