Terms of Service
Last updated: July 12, 2026
These terms govern your use of KaizenCV — the resume builder, cover-letter builder, job tracker, job search, AI career coach, and related tools available at kaizencv.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
KaizenCV is operated from Denmark. Questions about these terms: support@kaizencv.com.
2. Your account
You need an account for most features. Keep your credentials confidential — you are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion is permanent and removes your documents, applications, chats, and personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Free and paid plans
The free plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits and limited features. Pro is a paid subscription (billed via Stripe) with a larger credit allowance and additional features. Prices and inclusions are shown at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime in Settings; you keep Pro access until the end of the paid period. Unused credits do not carry over or convert to money.
EU right of withdrawal: by starting the subscription you request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that the 14-day withdrawal right lapses once the service is fully delivered. If you cancel within 14 days without having meaningfully used Pro features, contact us and we will refund you.
4. AI-generated content
The Service uses AI models (including Anthropic Claude) to draft, edit, and score documents and to provide career coaching. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing everything before you use it — especially facts, dates, employers, and figures in your resume or cover letter.
The AI is instructed not to invent facts about you, but no such safeguard is perfect. Career advice provided by the Service is general information, not professional, legal, or financial advice.
5. Your content
You own the content you create — resumes, cover letters, notes, and the information you provide. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process, display, and transmit that content to operate the Service (including sending relevant excerpts to our AI providers to fulfil your requests).
We never sell your content and never use your documents to train AI models.
6. Acceptable use
- No unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent use (e.g. fabricating credentials for deception).
- No attempts to breach, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- No scraping or bulk-extraction of the Service or its job data.
- No reselling or providing the Service to third parties without our written consent.
- No uploading of malware or content that infringes the rights of others.
7. Job search data
Job listings are aggregated from third-party sources and shown as-is. We do not guarantee their accuracy, availability, or that a listing is still open. Applying happens on the employer or job board site, under their terms.
8. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change, add, or remove features. If a change materially reduces what you paid for, you may cancel and receive a pro-rated refund of the remaining period.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims connected to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses (e.g. lost job opportunities, lost profits, lost data caused by circumstances outside our control). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability arising from gross negligence or intent, or your statutory consumer rights.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. On termination for violation, no refund is due for the remaining subscription period.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are subject to the ordinary Danish courts. Consumers in the EU retain any mandatory protections of their home country and may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you (e.g. by email or in-app) at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
