Choose Enhancv if

  • Visual design is your priority and you want a wide choice of layouts, sections and design options to shape the page yourself.
  • You need your resume in another language — Enhancv lists one-click AI translation into more than 30 languages.
  • You want written interview prep: role-matched questions, AI-drafted answers from your resume and a company brief.
  • You only need a resume for a short burst and are happy to work within a 7-day free plan with Enhancv branding.

Choose KaizenCV if

  • You would rather talk your resume through with an AI coach that drafts the edits for you to apply than fill in sections alone.
  • You want a free plan that does not expire, with the ATS score and application tracker included.
  • You want help with the offer too: walk-away, target and stretch figures, replies to pushback and a ready-to-send negotiation email.
  • You job hunt in Denmark or in Danish — the KaizenCV interface is available in English and Danish.

Design-led builder or coach-led editor

Enhancv puts the page first. Its builder is organised around templates, resume sections and design tools, and its pricing page describes hundreds of professionally designed templates and thousands of design combinations. AI sits inside that builder: rewriting bullets, personalising a summary for each job and pulling in content from an uploaded resume or LinkedIn profile.

KaizenCV puts the conversation first. You tell the AI career coach what you are applying for, it asks about your experience and proposes edits to the resume or cover letter that you apply or skip, and you keep full control of the layout. There are 14 resume and 11 cover letter templates, each exporting a selectable text layer. If choosing and fine-tuning a design is the part you enjoy, Enhancv gives you more to work with; if writing the content is the hard part, the coach is built for that.

How the free plans and pricing differ

Enhancv's free plan is valid for 7 days. It includes all resume templates and design tools, with basic sections, Enhancv branding and a maximum of 12 section items. Pro removes the branding and limits and adds real-time content suggestions and the ATS check. Enhancv advertises Pro from $16.50 a month; the price per month depends on the billing period you choose, and Enhancv notes that prices are subject to tax and the currency varies by region.

KaizenCV's free plan does not expire. It includes unlimited resume and cover letter drafts, the live ATS score with rule-based fixes, 5 resume and 5 cover letter templates, the application tracker and a small monthly AI allowance. PDF and Word export is where Pro starts. Pro costs $24.95 a month, $49.95 a quarter or $119.95 a year (also €19.95, €39.95 or €99.95), excluding VAT, and adds all 25 templates, unlimited PDF and Word export, scoring against a job posting, AI fixes with an automatic re-score, and enough AI to tailor a resume and cover letter for up to 125 jobs a month.

Matching a job posting and preparing for the interview

Both tools compare your resume with a job description. Enhancv's free resume checker runs 27 checks and, when you paste a job, shows which skills and keywords you have or are missing; inside the builder, the ATS check is part of Pro. In KaizenCV's editor the ATS score updates while you edit, so the number moves as you change a line, and Pro adds scoring against a pasted job posting; its free ATS score checker, which also takes a job description, works without an account.

For interviews, Enhancv's AI Interview Help produces a written prep report: role-matched questions, editable answers drafted from your resume, STAR impact stories and a company brief, with up to 3 reports on the free tier. KaizenCV's interview prep, in beta on every plan, is also written: a company briefing, behavioural and role questions, questions to ask the interviewer and a prep checklist for a job in your tracker. It does not draft answers for you. KaizenCV's voice interview practice is coming soon, with an early-access waitlist.
